Dan Chisholm
Start the day with Dan Chisholm on Brunel FM Breakfast from 6am every weekday
Dan Chisholm began broadcasting from his bedroom when he was seven.
After trashing several record players, his parents conceded defeat and bought a cassette machine for him to make his own radio programmes with.
These ‘broadcasts’ to a small captive audience of family and friends left everyone wondering if he would either grow out of it, or take it up as a career.
Despite pleas from his parents to ‘get a proper job’, a 26 year career in the BBC followed and took him across the UK and around the world. Unlike many who shout into microphones, Dan believes in being himself and talking to his listeners, not at you.
He agreed to present programmes at Brunel FM because he knows and loves Swindon. More importantly, he has a genuine interest in the community and is known by people in the town. He’s also respected by local and national politicians.
The Retro Triple Play
